A LITTLE GUIDANCE

Not sure where to start?

A photo must fit both pixels and KB

Read the upload form's required dimensions, format and file-size limit first. Resize the image to the correct dimensions, then reduce its KB size if needed. Small size targets can reduce dimensions again, so check the downloaded result against both limits.

Several documents need to become one PDF

Use Merge PDF for existing PDFs. For photos or scans, use JPG to PDF instead. Add files in the required order and review every output page. Converting a photo into a PDF does not recognize its text.

A PDF exceeds a file-size limit

Start with Compress PDF and choose clean re-save if searchable text matters. Strong image compression can make scans smaller, but can remove selectable text and form fields. Keep the original and inspect small print, signatures and codes after downloading.

Check the result before submitting

FileHoney prepares files; it cannot guarantee that a receiving website will accept them. Confirm the actual file size, dimensions, page order and readability. For passport or application photos, follow the receiving authority's current instructions rather than relying on a preset.

About JPG to PDF Online

Place one or more images into a PDF, with one image per page. Choose a paper size, orientation and fit before conversion. This creates a document from image pixels; it does not recognize text or make a scan searchable.

  1. Choose the images and check their order in Files. Clear and re-add them if you need a different page order.
  2. Set Page size and Orientation. Use Contain to keep the full image on each page or Cover crop to fill each page by trimming the edges.
  3. Select Convert to PDF and download images.pdf from Output. Open the PDF and check its page count, orientation and edges.

Practical guide

Choose the right page size

A4 and Letter create standard document pages. Original image size uses the source image dimensions. Custom sizes use PDF points, where 72 points equal one inch. Orientation can be Auto, Portrait or Landscape.

Avoid losing document edges

For scanned receipts, certificates and application pages, use Contain so that text near an edge is retained. Cover crop fills the page and can remove that text. Check every page of the downloaded PDF before submitting it.

Try the sample image

Download the sample graphic below and convert it with A4, Portrait and Contain. The PDF should have one page with the full graphic visible. Compare Cover crop separately to see how filling the page changes the edges.

Searchable text and file size

A PDF made from a photo is still an image document. Use OCR separately if you need recognized text. PDF size depends on the embedded image data; choosing a smaller paper size alone does not guarantee a smaller file.

Download practice files

These files contain sample content, so you can try the steps without selecting a personal document. Save a sample, then choose it using the file button above.

FAQ

JPG to PDF questions

Can I combine several photos in one PDF?

Yes. Load the images in the required order and convert them together. Each image becomes a separate PDF page.

Why can I not select the words in the PDF?

The converter embeds images rather than recognizing characters. Use OCR PDF for scanned text and proofread the recognized result.

What does Contain change?

It scales the complete image to fit inside the PDF page without cropping. Different image and page proportions can leave empty space around it.

Are my files uploaded for processing?

Files selected for JPG to PDF are processed in your browser session. This tool does not intentionally upload your selected file bytes to FileHoney servers. Some tools download browser libraries from content delivery networks when needed.
