filehoney provides browser-based file tools. Most file processing happens locally in your browser memory. We do not require account creation to use the tools.
Files and local processing
Files you choose are processed in your browser session for previews, conversions and downloads. We do not intentionally upload your files to our servers for these client-side tools. Clearing the page or browser session removes in-memory file selections.
Browser storage
The site uses browser storage for preferences such as the colour theme, favourite tools and recently used tools. It also keeps a short local list of recently selected file names. Clearing the site's browser storage resets these preferences and the local file-name history. Keep your downloaded files separately; the website is not a backup service.
Usage analytics
FileHoney uses Google Analytics to understand page visits and general website usage. Google Analytics can process page URLs, device and browser information, identifiers and cookies. Selected file bytes are not intentionally sent to Google Analytics by the file-processing tools. Browser settings and content blockers can limit analytics collection.
Read Google's Privacy Policy for information about its processing, and Google's analytics opt-out information for browser options.
External processing libraries
Tools can request libraries, fonts and OCR language data from content delivery networks. Those requests expose ordinary connection data to the provider, such as your IP address and browser information. Downloading a library is separate from sending the selected file to a conversion server.
Advertising cookies
We may use Google AdSense or other Google advertising services. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to serve ads based on prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
You can learn about Google's advertising practices and manage ad personalization at Google Ads Policies.
Basic technical data
Like most websites, hosting providers and browsers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested URLs and timestamps for security, diagnostics and performance.
Links to other sites
filehoney may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites.
